Purple Bouquet originated as a sport off ‘Hidcote’ lavender at the Sunshine Herb Farm in Tenino, Washington. Though it is an L. angustifolia, Purple Bouquet possesses one of the best features of the L. x.intermedia lavenders, producing up to 14” stems for fresh and dried bouquets. The body of Purple Bouquet ranges from twenty-four to thirty inches high, but its stem length can grow up to fifteen inches. This feature makes it one of the only English varieties that is a prime choice for use in lavender wands and other crafts. Purple Bouquet is known for a blossom color that is truly remarkable.
